TOOTH RECONSTRUCTION
The procedure consists in re-creation of a large part of damaged tooth crown and it is performed with composite materials (photo-hardened). To make the reconstruction durable, a metal pin is sometimes used to reinforce it and the pin is rarely visible as it is hidden under the filling. Reconstruction of the damaged tooth tissues makes the correct tooth function possible when in occlusion and it restores
the correct color and shape of tooth. If the dentist decides that too much of a tooth crown has been damaged and the tooth reconstruction is not possible with the conservative method,
capping shall be necessary.
